Eagle Speak Wins First Place and Audience Choice

Eagle Speak just won First Place and Audience Choice at Startup Weekend Springfield, and the response in the room tells me this idea has real energy behind it.

The concept is still early, but the problem is obvious: work communication keeps getting heavier, slower, and more fragmented. We are building a faster way for teams to talk, see presence, share context, and move without dragging every conversation through a meeting or a text thread.

Myke Bates, Brandon Cash, and I shaped the concept during the event, and people understood it quickly. Winning both the judges’ award and the audience vote is an incredible first public moment for Eagle Speak.

That matters because Startup Weekend is not just about a pitch. It is about whether a room full of people can understand the problem, believe in the direction, and want the work to continue.

This gives us enough momentum to keep building. Eagle Speak is no longer just an idea I have been carrying around. It is becoming something we need to take seriously.
