About Jason Arend
Building Across Business, Design, Technology, Media, and AI
I've spent most of my life building things: companies, products, brands, software, media, websites, and systems. My work lives in the space between creative direction, technical execution, product strategy, and the human realities that determine whether something actually works.
Today, I'm the Founder and CEO of Control, where we are building StackControl, a local-first AI infrastructure platform designed to help people and organizations manage models, agents, tools, data, and workflows with more privacy, portability, and ownership. It is the clearest expression of the work I have always done: turning complex technology into systems that are useful, understandable, and strong enough for real-world use.
That same mix shapes my client work. I help companies design and build polished websites, bespoke software, AI-enabled workflows, internal tools, automation systems, and digital products that need both strategic clarity and careful execution.
Along the way, I co-founded Eagle Speak and helped lead it to acquisition. I served as Chief Creative Officer of Hearo Technologies, where I still retain an ownership stake. I also served as President of the Mid-America Technology Alliance and co-founded Springfield Tech Council, where I continue to serve as a Founding Board Member.
What has stayed consistent through all of it is a drive to build things that are thoughtful, useful, and real — bringing together strategy, design, technology, and execution in ways that do not fit neatly into one category.
Let's explore what we can create together.
